What Does Love Mean to You

Feel It

The Heart or The Mind

Love Does Not Hurt

Many of us are confused by the thought of love and easily fall prey to its allure. When you are weak, the sound you hear may not be so clear. You hear what you want to hear and see what you want to see, not always what you should. You cannot love someone who does not love you. How could you. That is not how true love works—this is what I believe.

If hurt comes to you from what I do, what I have for you is not love. And what you have for me it is not what it is thought to be. There are many things that love is not, and only one that it is. There is no substitute for where love should be. You cannot buy it, you cannot sell it and you cannot create it on your own. The source has to be compatible with the need. You must feel love for you, to love me. You cannot be in love when you do not think it, feel it and act it. No matter if you say it again and again it does not make it so.

To love what hurts you cannot be love. You do not hurt the one you love, and you cannot love the one who hurts you. The things we lead ourselves to believe have no end. Love does not hurt.  When love is not there, the place where it should be will not be left empty. Hurt will fill its place.

Who are we when we shed our garments and our “face?” It is we. I will not be true in what I do, if you are not true in what you do, to me. If I think I love you, and you have not told the truth, then my love is a lie.

The Self Created to Evolve

You Never Leave You Get Better

The Self is our core, the essence of each one of us. It is where we go to be ourselves. A place we would never leave on our own. Our power and strength comes from there. If the ways of life have forced you away, it is your choice to go back. First, though, you must have the will to do so. It is not an easy thing to do. That is, unless you are sure it is what you want to do. Who we are never change, how we think and act can. It is often heard that a person is not being him or herself. This is not true. We are always who we are we may act as if we are not. Childhood trauma is the cause when our mind takes on a mind of its own. The mind is the master of thought and we are the master of the mind. Never let your mind tell you things you do not need to hear. The time to listen is when you hear what you have told yourself. That is when you know it is right.

I am my Self, which cannot change. Your Self, my Self, her Self, him Self, they all have one thing in common, the Self. When you are not acting your Self, your mind has to move pass the clutter of hurt and pain and come back to where it belongs. And that place is where it started from, your Self. From Self to Self is when you enter an enlighten way of thinking. If that is your destiny. It is not what is done to you. It is what you do for you that determine what your life will be. You have to change your way of thinking to get in touch with you. The best that you can ever be is to be you. You must always be true to Self. Never do a thing to take away from who you are.

How we think, feel and act comes after we are born. It is not born with us. It is not the Self. These are the things that make up our personality. Personality, unlike the Self, is a group of character traits. It is the way we show the world what we think of ourselves, who we think we are. It is how we are viewed by others, though not always true. It is only real when it matches your Self. It is how we act, and may change as we change the way that we think.

The Self is our own; each one of us has one. Life evolves, but the Self does not change, it does not shrink, it does not grow. It can be smothered. Then, of course, you will not be able to express your Self. The way we think is what smothers the Self. It will not let the real you surface. The self is there for all of us to be. It is not about how you act. That has more to do with your personality. It is who you are. Our thoughts, feelings and how we act change—this is when doubt can seep in—but we do not.

Our character traits are the most affected by the seeds of doubt. Doubt is the root cause of disordered thinking and this is what happens when you let your mind tell you what to do. One of the ways that the things we believe in are shown is through our character. It will vary at times and will only be who you are when it is in harmony with your Self.

When your mind is able to take you back to your Self—Self to Self—you will be more aware of you, maybe for the first time. An epiphany of sorts. It will feel as if a weight is being lifted from your soul. You will see what you have not been able to see, you. It is being aware of who you truly are. To know your Self, well, is to know you. You will know it because you will feel it. You will fit into you, which will push what is not real out.

You get to know your Self by being yourself. How great it is to meet your Self for the first time.

In the Beginning There is Creavolution

Creation is the breath of life from which we evolve. And our parents are the creators of us. They prepare, or not, the way for you and me. We do not evolve to the world. We are born. Then it is for us to be who we are meant to be. When it is all said and done, we are how we survive. It has been some time since I have had thoughts about where did it all come from. There are no longer days where I wonder just how life came to be. I am sure you have heard different from what I have to say, but what I have to say is the way that it is. We were created to evolve and that is just what we do.

A line has been drawn and sides have been taken. It is the main event of all things challenged. Were we created or did we evolve. The beliefs are just as strong for both sides. On one side, we have those who believe in creation and the other, are those who believe in evolution. Each is steadfast in their beliefs. Well, I have a different view. I believe in both as being the source of our existence.

The purpose of life is to go forward and create more life. It is what keeps all living things going. What else we do is up to us and is just a by-product of our lives. We were created to evolve to create. And Creavolution is how it is done. All things must first be to grow and become. Growth starts when life begins. Creavolution is the two cornerstones of life, which are creation and evolution. These two are the forces that are one with all life all the time. It is the new, which was created, and all things that evolved from it. From when it begins to when it ends. This is through the Creator of all life and all things. It is how life flows. First, there was creation. Then all things evolved.

We evolve when our needs are met. All that we need was here before us. But, we do have to be taught. Where there is a need there is a way, if there is no way, there is no need. It is called nature it is called life. For life to exist there must be the means of survival. We would not be here if not.  That is, if we are to survive, and that is what the Creator wants us to do. The question then is what do we want to do. Many of us are not taught well. So, we have to do our best to make the best of what we know and be open to that, which we do not know. The gift of life is meant to be lived. Differences in all things are what make it work, that is why it is there. And not a thing in life is the same as another. I say we were created to evolve because not a thing can grow and remain the same.

To have evolved when not a thing came first, will not answer the question of life. Evolve is what we do once we are here. It is not the answer. The answer is in the act of creation. And it speaks for the Creator. You have to believe it to see it. When you see it, you will know. These are the things that I believe. To create to evolve, you cannot have one and not the other.

Who is God and What is God to You

Believe It to See It

Believe It to See It

Who is God and What is God to You

When you see the word God, do you think religion? Well, the idea of a God was with us long before religion became a movement. Before this time God was a spirit something or someone to believe in, to call on for help and to give thanks for your blessings.  Spirituality, by my definition, is more a belief in a power that is greater than all other. It is there for when we need what our efforts have been unable to provide. We ask for the strength to carry on. Otherwise, we do it on our own. More than that; though, it is a feeling, a way of thinking whereby the power of God is no more or less the spirit within us.

There are few times when you have to ask for anything. That is, if you believe. You come as you are. You do not have to be a member. No membership is required. Some might, and do, ask why must there even be a God. Why do you need it? I say you do not if you think you do not. You have to believe it to see it. To see it is to understand.

I do not have to look up or go somewhere to see my God. My God is right here with me.

Creavolution: What It Means to Me

The Way We Are

Creation and Evolution

In the Beginning

Creation is the breath of life from which we evolve. Parents create our life. They prepare, or not, the way for us. An offspring does not evolve to the world. They are born. Then it is for us to be who we are meant to be. We are how we survive.

I do not consider myself a religious person because I am not. I am just a spiritual person that believes in God, The Creator. I have had thoughts about where did it all come from. As I am sure, many of you have. A line has been drawn and sides have been taken on the matter of evolution vs. creation. The beliefs are just as strong for both arguments. On one side, we have those who believe in creation and the other, are those who believe in evolution. Each is steadfast in their beliefs. Well, I subscribe to both with an emphasis on creation.

Creavolution is what gives life its shape, from when it begins to the end. We are all created from it. This is through the Creator of all life and all things. It is how life flows. First, there was creation. Then all things evolved. Creation and evolution are the two forces that are one with all life all the time. It is the new, which was created, and all things that evolved from it. We evolve when our needs are met.

The purpose of life is to go forward and procreate. It is what keeps us going. What else we do is up to us. We were created to evolve to create. And Creavolution is how it is done. All things must first be, to grow and become. Growth starts when life begins and Creavolution is what gives life its shape, from when it begins to when it ends. We are all created from it. This is through the Creator of all life and all things. It is how life flows. First, there was creation. Then all things evolved.

We evolve when our needs are met. All that we need was here before us, as it is for all creatures. We have to be taught how to meet our needs. That is, if we are to survive. Many of us are not taught well. So, we have to do our best to make the best of what we do have. We have to survive until we know better. A place must be prepared for us. Nurturing and caring has to be a part of that plan. The needs of life must be there for life to grow. I will prepare a place for you.

To have evolved when not a thing came first, will not answer the question of life. Evolve is what we do once we are here. It is not the answer. The answer is in the act of creation. And it speaks for the Creator. You have to believe it to see it. When you see it, you will know. These are the things that I believe. It is about life, it is about Creavolution ™. This means we were created to evolve. Creation and evolution says it all, they are the combination that is life. You cannot have one without the other.

Self Control Does More Harm Than Good

Will Not Last

Better to be Self Aware

Self Awareness Is To Understand Who You Are

You will not hide your true feelings for long. Some try to do so by self-control. This is not the answer. It takes an effort that pits your mind against your own Self to do so. Life is all about being who you are, the real you. The Self will not be controlled, for long. Any effort to do so will last for a short time. At which point your control will lose its grip and your hold will give way. That is when we will act the way we really feel. This is what you are trying to hide when you use self-control. It happens when a thing you have worked for is at stake and it is close at hand. If it does or not, what is for sure, you will lose self-control at some time or place. You must strive to be self-aware, that you will not lose once you have it. To be self-aware, is to know who you are. It is your core. It is the Self.

The mind can be just like a misbehaving child.

It was as if I would be hearing silent words. What else could it be. A voice in my head telling me to do what I did not know I wanted to do. I would just do what ever came to mind. This it seems without any thought at all. The thing is, I was just not giving myself enough time to think. When I would do what I should not do, to say that I was sorry would be to say I was wrong. That was a thing I found hard to do. I would promise myself I would not do it again. I meant it, until the next time. And there was always a next time. I tried to take charge of what I would say and do. I did this by trying to control myself. It did not work.

My mind would not let me see myself in a good light. I was not aware of me. Who am I supposed to be? Who is this looking back at me when I look in the mirror? Is it a nephew or a son, or a smart child or just a mannish boy. Maybe, I was a surprise. A mistake no one knew what to do with. I could not control my thoughts. They were taunting me day and night. I was the aim of my discomfort, and I could not share it nor pass it on. We will not control that which we do not understand. If we understand, we do not need control.

We can control some things, but not our Self. We must learn to live with, not control, ourselves. Self-control should not be the goal. There are limits on how long we can keep ourselves in check. When you feel you must control what you might say or do, you have to be vigilant at all times. It will let you down when you need it most. When we know ourselves well we do not need Self, control. The Self does not need to be controlled. Nor can it be. Self, control will give way and one time it is too many.

The Middle-Class Dream

Is it Real or is it Just an Illusion

Now here is the rest of the story. The middle-class, which is actually the credit class, is an invention to generate wealth for those on top and to serve as a buffer or a kind of protection against those on the bottom rung of the social and economic ladder. It is an artificial class supported by the credit industry. There can be no other logical reason for it to exist. And because there is no foundation in financial reality it is just a tool to be used when the job calls for it. If the lower class is getting restless call out the middle class, when more money is needed at the top, you do the same. The so-called middle class has been led to believe that they can, with hard work and determination, live the American dream. But what happens when the credit runs out? We are now finding out what that means.

You are on your way to the poor house. You have been deceived by the credit monster. It doesn’t whisper, it shouts that you can have it all just make sure you keep a good credit score and some kind of a job. With the strategy fully in place, the money handlers aim was to change the mindset from a save for what you can afford to a spend what you do not have way of thinking. To keep it all going the marketeers keeps the consumer goods* dangling in front of our eyes. With the same old slogan ringing in our ears; you must have, you cannot do without, new and improved. And when the economy falters, as it inevitably will, it all comes tumbling down for those who were really never up. It was all just an illusion, now you see me, now you don’t.

*Consumer goods are products that are purchased for consumption by the average consumer. Alternatively called final goods, they are the end result of production and manufacturing and are what a consumer will see on the store shelf. Clothing, food, automobiles and jewelry are all examples of consumer goods.

The Brain Very Much the Same How We Use it Makes the Difference

I Am

For You Too

The power of the brain is what guides our lives. It is the first organ to grow from the seed of life. The foundation for the brain is set early. Three weeks after conception, a sheet of embryonic cells called the neural plate folds and fuses into the neural tube. This tissue will become the central nervous system. The brain’s “master” role is evident by nature. Encased by the skull bone, it is our most protected organ and is the command center for all of our actions. What we fail to realize, at times, is that it provides us with all we need to do our own thinking. “Use your head.”

The brain is made up of physical parts and has a mind of its own. Once the brain knows it does not forget unless that is what it wants to do. More times than not, it is to protect us. Of course, when there is damage to the brain, which can happen, it is not so clear.

The brain records all things that are of our world and there is no erase button on board to be used. It can figure it out. It is, of its own design, this is, as I believe it to be. As much as we know, there is still little known about how the brain works. I think that there is no way we will understand all there is to know. That is because it is not meant to be. Humans would be in charge, and we know how well we do when we are.

Our brains have the same makeup, but different—as we are—in what it can do for us. Our thoughts are one of them. As long as there is the power of thought, we will be learning about how we think, and the workings of the brain. There can be no end. Just as it is with life, there will always be much left to learn. The end of thought means there is no more. Life, as we know it is over. The brain no longer works. It is dead.

For a detailed description (by Encarta) of the brain, continue reading below:

The brain is the control center for every activity necessary to survival.

The adult human brain is made up of approximately 100 billion neurons (nerve cells), neuroglia (supporting-tissue) cells and other tissues. Neurons transmit and analyze all communication within the brain and other parts of the nervous system. Neuroglial cells are twice as numerous as neurons and provide structural support to the neurons. Three protective meninges (membranes) cover the brain. A clear liquid, the cerebrospinal fluid, surrounds the entire brain and protects the internal portion from varying pressures. This fluid also transports chemical substances within the nervous system.

The brain appears as three connected parts: the cerebrum, the cerebellum, and the brain stem. Two other major parts, the thalamus and the hypothalamus, lie above the brain stem underneath the cerebellum. Most high-level brain functions take place in the cerebrum. Its two large hemispheres are divided into five lobes: the frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes and the insula. The cerebrum receives information from the sense organs and sends motor commands (signals that stimulate activity in the muscles or glands) to other parts of the brain and the body. Many areas of the cerebral cortex (surface) correspond to specific functions, such as vision, hearing, speech, emotions, thinking, and remembering.

The cerebellum coordinates body movements. It is divided into two lobes connected by a bundle of white fibers. The cerebellum coordinates voluntary movements by fine-tuning motor commands from the cerebrum. The cerebellum also maintains posture and balance by controlling muscle tone and sensing limb positions.

The thalamus and the hypothalamus connect the cerebrum to the brain stem. The thalamus relays sensory signals to and from the cerebral cortex. All sensory input to the brain, except the sense of smell, connects to the thalamus. The hypothalamus lies beneath the thalamus and regulates vital drives and activities, such as eating, drinking, sleep, emotional behavior, and sexual activity. It also controls the internal organs, interacts closely with the pituitary gland, and helps coordinate brain stem activities.

The brain stem is responsible for sustaining the basic functions of life, such as breathing and blood pressure. It contains relay stations for neurons transmitting signals to the cerebral cortex, as well as many reflex centers— pathways carrying sensory information and motor commands. Sensory and motor nerve fibers connecting the brain with the rest of the body cross over to the opposite side in the brain stem. The left half of the brain communicates with the right half of the body and the right half of the brain with the left half of the body.

Twelve pairs of cranial nerves connect the brain with the head and neck. Some are motor nerves, controlling muscle movement. Some are sensory nerves, conveying information from the sense organs. Others contain fibers for both sensory and motor impulses.

Be sure to feed your brain with the food of knowledge.

Time for Change—There Is a Better Way

I Am

For You Too

It's In There

Open Your Mind

Now is The Time

You first have to know, and then you have to realize you know. When you know, that you know better, you will do better. Good is what you do until then. It is a goal with no end and you should strive to make your good better. You will now know that you can. Good can and does get better. If you fail, you cheat your Self. When you think in a way that takes from who you are, that is what you are doing. It is the worst kind of way to think.

One of the rules of nature is to do no harm to the Self. If you do, you can never be who you are here to be. Life will not be what you deserve. When you do not use your gifts and talents—we all have them—they do not stay at their best. Nature will not let it be. Your assets have to be put to their best use. When this does not happen, life moves on but you will not keep up. To work against what is good for you pokes a finger in the eye of nature. We live and grow by the fundamentals of life. To know this is the core of our existence.

You do not have to do or say a thing, when you do, say and do the right thing. There is not a thing that we can do when we do not have the energy to do it. It comes from will and desire. They are the fuel that propels us toward our goals. You have to be motivated and you are the best one to do that for you. The effort must be up to the goal. Great change needs a great effort. To gain much, you have to put in a major effort. A gain from little effort is not here to stay. It will go as it came. What was needed was not done. Success is that moment when we have given all that we have to give, for now.

The right thing done the wrong way will not succeed, just as the wrong thing cannot be done right. You can be right, though look as if you are wrong by those who are not right. It does not mean that you are wrong, and they are right, they are still wrong. You should let no one turn you away from what you know. There is no “little white lie” no shades or degrees of right and wrong. They are what they are. You do not have to prove you are right, just be right. To make a change to what is right will not make a thing that is right better. It will not be improved on. If it is right, it is not wrong.

You are the one to decide what is right or wrong for you. As we all must do, you have to live with what you decide. When you have done the right things, it does not mean all of the right things are done. Trying to do the right thing is good. To do it is better. You must put forth the effort until all things that can be done right, are. You will have the tools to do this. When you do it right you will feel right. It is then that you will know how much better it is than what it was. You cannot be “caught” doing the right thing. How can you do a thing wrong when you know how to do it right? You cannot, when you know better you will do better. There is no exception.

How you feel and act will change as your thoughts change. There is no better time for change than when it is needed. Change will happen, when you change how you think. This will change how you feel. When you feel better, you will change how you act and your life will change, as well. Our role in life is shaped by how we act. It is how we will be known to those who know us. It is what others will use to judge us. Some may say it is not all about me. Well, I say, it is. When it is about you, it is about us, all of us in some way. We all have the Self as the core of who we are. You get to know your Self by being yourself. How great it is to meet your Self for the first time. You should not let your life pass you by. Be happy to know who you are. This, you have coming to you. When you are not happy, it shows.

There is no time or age limit to do better for you. It is not too early or too late. Even so, it is for you to choose if it is your time to think healthy. The body and the mind can both be fit. Though the mind you must convince. To change your mind is to change your life. This is where the rest of your life begins. If there is no way to know, there is no need to know. Where there is a need there is a way, if there is no way, there is no need. The more you get the less you need. It is called nature it is called life. If there is a thing you need to do, you can do. You only need to let the mind know.

When you do not succeed as you think you should, there is more work to do. Perfection in the things we do is a worthwhile goal for all of us to have. You are not wrong when you do. It is not a bad word. It is a Self, defined state of mind, it is personal. If not to be perfect, what then could be your goal. A thing less is less than your best. We were created to decide the scope and reach of our lives. Observe your world well. And do when you can do. There is much to be gained from each. Though, one should not take from the other. You should listen to learn. And learn to listen to what your world has to tell you. Do not run from what you should be running to, your Self. We can never run out of time, time runs out of us. Time is time we are not.

You can only get there from here. It does not matter the means or the mode. You will not get there from any other place, but from where you are. You can only get there from here and you got here from there. You were there in the past, now you can be there in the future. You can go back there or you can go to there, it is your choice, which there do you choose. You can only get there from here. For sure, your mind cannot stay where it is.

You have to believe it to see it. When you see it, you will know. What do you believe?

When Your Mind is Hurting and You Do Not Know What to Do

A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Lose

Pain Does Not Cause Pain How You Think and Act Does

Your husband or wife does not cause your pain. Neither your employer nor your friends are the cause of the pain that you feel. The pain that you feel is caused by no one other than you. It does not matter from where it came; you allow it to do what it does. It is not the job, the neighbor or anyone else or thing. The source of the pain is your thinking.

Stressful experiences in early childhood can have long-lasting impacts on kids’ health that persist well beyond the resolution of the situation. My entire childhood and much of my adult life, no matter the bright spots, was filled with pain. I could not be me for any length of time. My mind would not let me. What was wrong had to be made right and what was wrong was in me. I had known from when I was a small child—three or four, maybe—that my thoughts and how I would think them was adding to my pain. My heart would ache and my soul would scream, why me. These were times when little was known about why we do the things that we do. We now know more about emotional trauma and abuse in childhood and its effect on the mind, this is good.

What is not so good is that those who know do not know what they should. It seems that what no one wants to admit, and we (society) will not own up to, is what we are doing to us. I ask myself, what is the end game. Does anyone know? A childhood of pain and hurt can only lead to one thing, a life of the same. That is, if you do not listen to what you hear. And it is difficult to do that when you are still clinging on to debris from your childhood. A cluttered mind leaves no place for good things to go. You let pain you did not cause, cause you to suffer from pain you did cause.  When how you think and act is the result of the pain you feel, you must trace your pain to where it leads. That would be your childhood.

Your childhood is real and the affect that it has on you—good or bad— is real, as well. You must look back one last time. First, though, you have to let down your defense, drop your guard, maybe, for the first time. If the trip is difficult to take, try being me and I will be you. To see life the way that I saw it—even though not through my eyes—will help you to understand how the millions who suffer here, and around the world may feel. How they act is a way to learn about you. When you change how you think, it can be done. Yes, many of us have been hurt. Your pain has its roots in and grows from a life being interfered with. You have to go back to this point. It is where your path to a right way of thinking begins.

It is the thoughts of your childhood that hurts. If it is not you who you see when you look, you are likely to recognize someone you know and possibly love. Or someone you just care about. Maybe it is someone you have empathy for, never knowing why they act the way they do. There is someone you know here—whether you knew it or not. Now you will know and have a better understanding of them and yourself. It is a matter of self-awareness, which simply means feeling good about yourself. Knowing who you are and being the real you; the person you were meant to be. That goes for all of us, you, them and me. It is a journey that begins with the first step, and the first step always begins in early childhood where the basis of your personality and sensitivities are formed. What comes next is the product of your environment. It is there in your mental and physical environment where your thoughts are formed by way of the senses and are molded in the image of the messages we receive through awareness and perception.

My self-esteem, which most of the time ran low, caused me not to do my best. It was not that I could not be my best. I just would not let myself do it. I was weak though I acted strong, and that is not pretty and fools no one. It is not likely that we can have a productive life without a heavy dose of self-esteem. We all need it. It is being Self-aware and it will not leave you, it is with you for life. It is how a child develops a healthy sense of self-worth; that I am “somebody.” This does not always happen when it should. What has the most negative impact on our lives is when it does not develop at all. You need it to live an emotionally mature life. It is not likely that you can have a productive life without a heavy dose of self-esteem. We all need it. If this does not happen in early childhood, it will cause you to think, feel and act in ways you would rather not. Life will be difficult, at best. It can take years, if ever, to gain what you never had, but always needed.

That your view may be clouded by time and the hurt that you felt does not change a thing. You were a child in an adult world. You must first be aware of something before you can have thoughts about it, and your thoughts are based on perception. Life is understood and lived through your senses, and for each sense that is lost, there is a reduction in the ability to perceive and interact with the world around you.

We allow ourselves to be reminded of things long past that serve no useful purpose in our life today. A memory from your childhood can be one of them. The best place for a child to grow up is a place that nurtures and cares. It is there where childhoods grow. As well as being nurtured, we are born to this world to nurture. We are born with an instinct to live. It is in our nature though it does not always show.

The American Academy of Pediatrics in a Healthy Children article defines self-esteem as “the way in which an individual perceives herself—in other words, her own thoughts and feelings about herself and her ability to achieve in ways that are important to her. This self-esteem is shaped by not only a child’s own perceptions and expectations, but also by the perceptions and expectations of significant people in her life—how she is thought of and treated by parents, teachers and friends. The closer her perceived self (how she sees herself) comes to her ideal self (how she would like to be) the higher her self-esteem.”
