There are groups, some well-known, and others not so much, that represent the interest of Woman. This is a good thing, but some of the things they say, I wonder. One of the things goes to the heart of our existence. That is, that they are not a part of man; though, we are surely a part of each other. They refuse to carry the woman label and say that they will not stay in “their place.” They refer to themselves as womayn. They do not want to be part of man, and their thinking is somewhat understandable. Though yet, and still, we are from the same beginning and alike in so many ways. And the difference does not amount too much.
Human reproduction is any form of sexual reproduction resulting in the conception of a child, typically involving sexual intercourse between a man and a woman. During intercourse, the interaction between the male and female reproductive systems results in the fertilization of the woman’s ovum by the man’s sperm, which after a gestation period is followed by childbirth. The fertilization of the ovum may today be achieved by artificial insemination methods, which do not involve sexual intercourse. Even so, as we know, it requires the services of a man. There can be no one without the two.
From conception, there is a very thin line that determines the gender of the developing human. If you take away our reproductive organs, and make further adjustments to our anatomy, you will not have a male or female, you will have a person. But that is not the way it was meant to be. The development of the reproductive system and urinary systems are closely tied in the development of the human fetus. Despite the differences between the adult male and female reproductive system, there are a number of homologous structures shared between them due to their common origins within the fetus.
