You Feel and Act How You Think

You first have to know, and then you must realize you know. When you know that you know better, you will do better. Good is what you do until then. It is a goal with no end, and you should strive to make your good better. You will now know that you can. Good can and does get better. If you fail, you cheat your Self. When you think in a way that takes from who you are, that is what you are doing. It is the worst kind of way to think.
One of the fundamental rules of nature is to be true to your Self. If you are not, you can never fully realize your potential. Life will not be what you truly deserve. When you do not use your gifts and talents, they don’t reach their full potential. Nature will not allow it. Your strengths need to be maximized. When this does not happen, life moves on, but you will not keep up. Going against what is good for you is like challenging nature. We live and grow by the principles of life. Understanding this is the essence of our existence.

You do not have to do or say a thing; when you do, say and do the right thing. There is not a thing that we can do when we do not have the energy to do it. The energy comes from will and desire. They are the fuel that propels us toward our goals. You must be motivated, and you are the best one to do that for you. The effort must be up to the goal. Great change needs a great effort. To gain much, you must put in a major effort. A gain from little effort is not here to stay. It will go as it came. What was needed was not done. Success is when we have given all we have to give: for now.
The right thing done the wrong way will not succeed, just as the wrong thing cannot be done right. You can be right, though look as if you are wrong by those who are not right. It does not mean that you are wrong, and they are right—they are still wrong. You should let no one turn you away from what you know. There is no “little white lie,” no shades or degrees of right and wrong. They are what they are. You do not have to prove you are right; just be right. To make a change to what is right will not make a thing that is right better. It will not be improved on. If it is right, it is not wrong.

You are the one to decide what is right or wrong for you. As we all must do, you have to live with what you choose. When you have done the right things, it does not mean all of the right things are done. Trying to do the right thing is good. To do it is better. You must put forth the effort until all things that can be done right, are. You will have the tools to do this.
When you do it right, you will feel right. It is then that you will know how much better it is than what it was. You cannot be “caught” doing the right thing. How can you do a thing wrong when you know how to do it right? You cannot; when you know better, you will do better. There is no exception.
How you feel and act will change as your thoughts change. There is no better time for change than when it is needed. Change will happen when you change how you think. This will change how you feel. When you feel better, you will change how you act, and your life will change, as well. Our role in life is shaped by how we act. It is how we will be known to those who know us. It is what others will use to judge us.

Some may say “it is not all about me.” Well, I say it is. When it is about you, it is about us—all of us in some way. We all have the Self as the core of who we are. You get to know your Self by being yourself. How great it is to meet your Self for the first time. You should not let your life pass you by. Be happy to know who you are. This, you have coming to you. When you are not happy, it shows.
There is no time or age limit to do better for you. It is not too early or too late to do what is best for you. Even so, it is for you to choose if it is your time to think healthy. The body and the mind can both be fit. Though the mind you must convince. To change your mind is to change your life. This is where the rest of your life begins.

If there is no way to know, there is no need to know. Where there is a need—there is a way—if there is no way—there is no need. The more you get, the less you should need. It is called nature. It is called life. If there is a thing you need to do, you can do it. You only need to let the mind know.
When you do not succeed as you think you should, there is more work to do. Perfection in the things we do is a worthwhile goal for all of us to have. You are not wrong when you do. It is not a bad word. It is a Self-defined state of mind; it is personal. If not to be perfect, what then could be your goal. A thing less is less than your best.
We were created to decide the scope and reach of our lives. Observe your world well. And “do” when you can. There is much to be gained from each. However, one should not take from the other. You must listen to learn. And learn to listen to what your world has to tell you.
Do not run from what you should be running to: your Self. We can never run out of time—time runs out of us. Time is time we are not.
For sure, your mind cannot stay where it is.
You can only get there from here. It does not matter the means or the mode. You will not get there from any other place but from where you are. You can only get there from here, and you can only be here now. You were there in the past. Now you can be there in the future. You can go back there or you can go to there, it is your choice, which there do you choose. You can only get there from here. For sure, your mind cannot stay where it is, if it is not where it should be.
Special Note: We may go to the past with our thoughts and thinking, but I have concluded that our past memories also come to us without being prompted.
You must believe it to see it. When you see it, you will know. What do you believe?

Being ‘Self’ aware means knowing and embracing who you truly are. The Self is your core, your essence. It is the place where you can be your authentic self, a place you should never willingly leave. Your power and strength stem from your Self. If the complexities of life have distanced you from your Self, it is a choice to return. It is not an easy journey, but it is a journey worth taking if, with all your heart and soul, you want it above all else.

How we think, feel, and act comes after we are born. It is not born with us. It is not the Self. These are things that make up our personality. It is how we show the world who we think we are—in other words, what we think of ourselves—though not always true. It is how we act, and it may change as we change how we think. The Self will not change. It is the you that was created for you.

Your Self is your own, and we all have one. None is the same. Life evolves, but the Self does not change, it does not shrink, it does not grow. It can be smothered. Then, of course, you will not be able to express yourself. The way we think is what smothers the Self. It will not let the real one surface. The Self is there for all of us to be. It is not about how one behaves. That has more to do with your personality.
Unlike the Self, personality is a group of character traits that help define who we are. This grouping is the most affected by the seeds of doubt, which is the root cause of disordered thinking. Our thoughts, feelings, and actions change, but we do not. Of course, if there is no conflict, which would be with the Self.

Disordered thinking keeps you from being real. It keeps your Self from shining through, creating an image that is not who you are. I am the one I have been looking for, not the one you know.
One way that the things we believe in are shown is through our character. It is how others view us. It is also a part of us that tells us what we think about ourselves. It will sometimes vary, though it will only be the real you when it matches your Self.
We are born with a map of who we are. It makes up the person that is you. The person we were meant to be. It is the core of the human being and does not change. As with all things, our physical side changes with time. Our genes determine how we will look and can affect our mental, emotional, and physical health, if you are an unfortunate recipient of “faulty” genes. We have no say in this. It is part of our creation. We do have a say in the life we create as does who we create our offspring with. And this would be the other parent, the co-creator of this new life.

Some will say a person has changed and does not act the same. They may have changed how they act, though they are not different. Not a thing has changed about who they are. They are still who they have always been. What has changed is how the person thinks, feels, and acts. The core of their being, the soul, has not changed. You cannot sell it, and you will not lose it. It is the real you. You cannot be who you are not and will tire out trying. Yet, many do try.

Life is just doing what it does. When your mind tells you what you are looking for is somewhere else, you will not see it where it is. Likewise, you will not know what a thing is if you expect it to look one way when it looks another. And, yes, as I am sure most of you have come to know, it can be this way with people. Some things exist that we do not see. You cannot see what you do not know. How would you know it when you saw it? An open mind wants to know. There is never so little time that we have no time to learn.
Life and Changing Times
There are times when you may think wistfully of the past and entertain thoughts of what is going to happen in the future. This is an urge to be where it is not possible for you to be. One time has passed, and the other is yet to come. The mind is focused where it should not.
You can only get there from here, not from where the mind is. There is not a thing the mind can do without you. You should focus on that part of your life you can do something about: today is the day. What we can do for the future is face it. For the past, we have what we have done. We learn from it.
The more you think of the past and future, the less time you have to think of the present. Do not concern yourself with time you no longer have and a place you will not be. You should do what you can with the only time you have. Time for the past is no more. The future when you get there will be the present. You should not use the time you have where there is no measure. We travel with time, not past it. Nor can we go back to it. Our minds can go there, but we cannot.

The best way to reach your goals is through a step-by-step process. There are only three different steps you can take to get there: the first, next, and last. Going backward will not get you there unless you then go forward. Going sideways will only keep you on the current level.

You take the three steps to make it to where you are going, a step at a time until you get to where you want to go. This way, you know how to do it, which will serve you well to reach your next goal. When you do not do all the things you should do to do what you want to do, what you do will not be enough.
Any skipped step leaves a void, and you will not know how you got to where you are. And it is a place where you could easily fall. There is no way you would know all that it takes to get the job done. You can only get there from here. It can be done no other way. The distance to our goals is not as critical as the steps we take to get there. How we think our thoughts decide the path we take in our life.
When you think you have done all you can and know to do to be all that you can be, there is more thinking to do. I describe this as not knowing your full strength and worth. How can you ever know how much more you have to give? You cannot. It is simple, though: some of you will not see it because you are not willing to believe. You can learn if you listen. You must listen to learn and learn to listen.

Now, what do you believe? Are you listening to the words that you read? If you are not, you must learn how to listen and learn what your world is telling you. You have to listen to what you read to “think” what you read. Listen to what is said to you and listen to your Self. When we are born, we do not know how to listen. It is an acquired skill. You first hear, and then you listen. When we listen, we feel the sound of our thoughts.
To hear is not to listen. It is not the same. It takes no effort to hear. This is if you want to or not. To hear is one of the senses. It is there by nature and has no on-and-off switch. To listen is not a sense. It is a skill. If you want to listen, it must be what you want to do.

However, I will say that when you give thanks by praying, it cannot be given often enough, no matter how much you pray.
Belief in a force greater than ourselves will not save us from hurt, pain, or loss–though–it can be a “lifeline” when you need it. It will not meet your basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter. That can only be done by you. Prayer is to help you through to the other side when your hands have gone up and spirit down. It is a bridge over troubled waters not to be worn out by too frequent use. However, I will say that when you give thanks by praying, it cannot be given often enough, no matter how much you pray.
Pray or Not to Pray
For many, prayer is the single reason they have not learned how to find the answer they seek on their own. Prayer is just a step in the “process of hope.” As powerful as prayer is, you have to take action to get where your life is taking you. You must move toward where you want to go. You will not hear the answer when you wait. Prayer will lose its power over time when you do not use your own. And that is your power to think.
Prayer is for when you have done all that you know to do, and the gas hand is on empty. The Creator will let you know when. It will not replace what we must do for ourselves, and the strength you receive from it will not be enough. It has to be matched with your own. Nothing in life will work if you do not do it right.
Help needs help to help
When we pray, we are searching for the answer. Prayer is not what you seek.
There is nothing we should have more faith in than ourselves. It is a thing that cannot happen, though, at times, we act as if it could. If you think this, you are not alone with this thought. Many believe they must place more trust in someone other than themselves, but we are not made to be that way.
Our Creator, God, gave us–in abundance–all that his entire creation should need. Prayer is just a call for help when you do not know what to do with what you have. It will not give you what you must give yourself.
The next move is yours to make. If you pray for just one thing, pray that you will no longer need to pray for an answer. And that you will live your life in a way where you only need to give thanks for your blessings.
God created us with the tools to create, innovate, survive and flourish–we are self-contained. We have all that we need to live, procreate and grow. We were designed that way so there would be no need for intervention. That is unless we start to destroy the creation. Then, we will see the full power of God. When we get to the point where God has had enough, we will know.
Many are confused by the thought of love and easily fall prey to its allure. When you are weak, the sound you hear may not be so clear. You hear what is being heard and see what is being shown, but it is not always what you should. You cannot love someone who does not love you. How could you? That is not how true love works.
If hurt comes to you from what I do, what I have for you is not love. And what you have for me is not what it is thought to be. There are many things that love is not, and only one that it is. There is no substitute for where love should be. You cannot buy it, you cannot sell it, and you cannot create it on your own. The source must be compatible with the need. You must feel love for you to love me. You cannot be in love when you do not think it, feel it, and act it. No matter if you say it again and again—over and over—it does not make it so.
To love what hurts you cannot be love. You do not hurt the one you love; you cannot love the one who hurts you. The things we lead ourselves to believe have no end. Love does not hurt. When love is not there, the place where it should be will not be left empty. Hurt will fill its place.

Who are we when we shed our garments and our “face?” It is who we are supposed to be. I will not be true in what I do if you are not true in what you do to me. If I think I love you, and you have not told the truth, then my love is a lie.

Real or Just an Illusion

Now, here is the rest of the story. The middle class (which is actually the credit class) is an invention that generates wealth for those on top and serves as a buffer or a kind of protection against those on the bottom rung of the social and economic ladder. It is an artificial class supported by the credit industry. There can be no other logical reason for it to exist. And because there is no foundation in financial reality it is just a tool to be used when the job calls for it. If the lower class is getting restless, call out the middle class; when more money is needed at the top, you do the same. The so-called middle class has been led to believe that they can live the American dream with hard work and determination. But what happens when the credit runs out? We are now finding out what that means.
You are on your way to the poor house. You have been deceived by the credit monster. It does not whisper; it shouts that you can have it all. Just make sure you keep a good credit score and some kind of a job. With the strategy fully in place, the money handlers aimed to change the mindset from saving for what you can afford to spend what you do not have way of thinking.
To keep it all going, the marketers keep the consumer goods* dangling in front of our eyes. With the same old slogans ringing in our ears: you must have, you cannot do without, new and improved. And when the economy falters, as it inevitably will, it all comes tumbling down for those who were really never up. It was all just an illusion; now you see me. Now you do not.

*Consumer goods are products purchased for consumption by the average consumer. Alternatively called final goods, they are the end result of production and manufacturing and are what a consumer will see on the store shelf. Clothing, food, automobiles, and jewelry are all examples of consumer goods.
Thinking and How We Do It

You must open your mind to allow what is outside to come in. Only then will you know if what you hear is what you want to keep. Take your time (your time and my time the only time we have) and think along with me here. You will undoubtedly have to think in a way that is different from how you have before. What we have thought to be may not be that way at all. And what we have been taught to believe does not always look the same when we learn how to think our own thoughts. This, of course, many thought they already knew.
When I say to think a thought, I mean that thought and thinking are not always the same. Stay with me here—this requires a new way of thinking. Your life will be better off for what you can digest from the words that are “spoken” here. A thought is just a thought until you think it. You cannot think of a thing until you have a thought. And our thoughts are based on “our world” how we perceive what we see, hear and feel. A thought just is until it is not.
Think of a thought as being inert, not doing a thing from when you have it until you think of what you want to do with it. The time between the two is too quick to measure. We are yet to know when someone has a thought or what they are thinking. And there is sound reasoning why we do not and should not.
Thought is not only what we had. It is also what we have. You thought, and you have a thought. It is what we have thought and what we have to think. A thought cannot be forced. To try to do so is called thinking. Once you have a thought, you think it, or it moves to your memory. It will not be undone. It is the same as it is with life. The life we have lived cannot be changed; it is what it is—forever. Think about this. What exists to us is all we know. And we decide what we are going to do with it. But, there is more.
There are other key factors that can and do play a decisive role in the outcome.
Say you are walking on a not so busy stretch of the bike path, and you see another walker (Me) approaching going in the opposite direction. You will have a thought based on your perception of me. This is the first thing that will happen. You will then think about us—and all that goes with that. If you like what you see or are do not otherwise feel threaten , you will continue on your way. If you do not feel safe for some reason—that can only be known by you—you will go in another direction or proceed with caution. Or you may not have strong feelings either way. No matter how you feel, your feelings will be based on what you think. And you will act according to how you feel. We perceive, have a thought, think, feel, and act. That is the course of an action process, as I believe it to be. There are other key factors that can and do play a decisive role in the outcome.
We are taught how to think and must decide what to think. You should not think in a way that tells you things you do not need to hear. Your thoughts belong to you. No one can think for you, though many will try. All that I say about thought, thinking, and how we perceive the world around us has just one purpose. I am not—in any way—trying to tell you what to think; I am merely giving you something to think about.
The environment that you are conceived in and grows from prepares us, or not, for the life we were chosen to live.
We are born to think, but you must learn to think better. One of the most difficult things to take when I was a child—even as an adult—was that I could be told what thoughts to think. You must decide the thoughts you choose to think. No one can do this for you. When you are taught from the start (beginning in the womb) by someone who cares, you can. The environment that you are conceived in and grows from prepares us, or not, for the life we were chosen to live. The Thinking is what feeds the mind and tells it what to do.
To try to think for someone is not good thinking. One can let another decide for them, but it will not be their decision until they decide. Thinking is a process that must end. The power of thinking is in when you act. Before you do, you can feel happy or sad, good or bad. How you act, how I act, is the best that can be known about how we think. This is true no matter the time, place, person or circumstance.
“I had a thought but don’t remember what it was.” Have you said this to yourself? The reason is it was not a complete thought. When this happens, it is not a thought that holds the mind’s attention. (I did not think it was important then, maybe later.) I believe that there are two kinds of thought. Have you been asked by someone what you think about a thought that they have. As in, I had a thought about us going shopping today. What do you think about that?
You should not act on what you think someone is going to say. That is, to the extent that you have your say before they do. Wait until you know all that you should. What you think may not be what you think it is. That is because what we perceive and think we know may not be what is true. Perception can be reality or not. What is to you is not always what is.
Thinking is a process: there is a start and a finish each time you think a thought. Once you start, you cannot stop until you are done. What you expose yourself to will be the source for the thoughts that enter your mind—who and what you are around—it is then up to you what you do with them. You should not let thoughts that are not wanted stay where they do not belong—these kinds of thoughts you should refuse to have anything to do with. Let them go to your memory and let them stay there. Do not think them. They are of no value; no good can come from them. What does your life say to you?
You rule over your mind. That is, you should. Never let it tell you what to do without your consent. You and your mind decide what to do with your thoughts. Do not do a thing that will cause you to act in a way other than how you wish. How you act is all that can be known about who you are. There are things that others do that you prefer they did not. You do not control this. You are in charge of how you act. That is the only effect you can have on what others do.
Warning: Please consider the statement above before beginning any relationship or endeavor.
Thoughts will come. You cannot force them from your head. You can pretend they are not there. They will remind you that they are. Before you act, you should be sure of what you think. What you do next depends on it. When you have good thoughts, it is more likely that good things will happen. To think good thoughts is good. It changes how you feel and is the mainstay of a content mind. Bad thoughts can seep in when there is fertile ground for a bad seed to be planted. Do not let bad thoughts take root.
When we think that good thoughts are bad or bad thoughts are good, it is not a good way to think. This is a sign of disordered thinking. It is usually brought on when you have allowed yourself to be confused by the life you are living. There is someone there who should not be. It could be you. The mind is doing it, and you are letting it happen. It is best to remember that good comes from good and bad from bad. There is no other way.

Bad can follow good things. Good can follow bad. But neither thing can come from the other thing–they come after. There is a point where one stops and the other starts. You will not change what is, no matter what you do. It has made its mark. It does not matter if it is good or bad. What is done next will be the new what is. What has happened is over.
You should not talk or think of the bad when things are good. On a nice sunny day, have you heard someone say, or have you said, but it is supposed to be cloudy tomorrow. How can you ever enjoy what is there when you cannot leave good enough alone? But when you feel bad about yourself, whether you acknowledge it or not, you will not let the good take root. It may not sound like much, but it does show a certain frame of mind and way of thinking.
You should always try to think of the good when things are bad. It is cloudy today, but the sun may be out tomorrow. It is the right thing to do because we feel what we think. Thinking should lift the soul and stir the mind. How we think our thoughts form the foundation on which our lives are built. There is not a thing to think but a thought.
You do not know how good a thought is until you know how good it was. Thought is language for the mind. It drives both actions and words. And there is no such thing as a bad word. The use of a word decides what it is worth. How we arrange our words says what we mean. You should never say what you do not mean to say. Think.
When we think, we are having a talk with ourselves. You can do this in two ways. You think your thoughts to yourself. That is when you talk to yourself and not say a word. The other— which I have done since I was a child—is to think your thoughts out loud. This is an excellent way to discuss what is on your mind with yourself when no one else is around. We think for a reason. The reason is our thoughts. That is the only way for them to take on a life of their own.
We think our thoughts and think about how others act. You must be aware of a thing to have thoughts about it. To shrink and expand our world is the best way to gauge the thoughts that we think. What I mean is the limits we place, or not, on the people and things we allow in our world. There are some things we are better off without. Not all belong in our heads. Because once it is, it will forever be in your memory, which other memories can trigger at any time or place.
TEMPTATION

Not all thoughts are good for us to think. A thought of things best left alone is one of them. You either think it or let it go. What greater know how could you have than how to think good thoughts. Do not yield to temptation.

“It is what got me here, and would not let me leave until it carried me away.”
Telling yourself nothing but the truth is the only way you can understand who you are and how you feel.
What is on your mind
My name is __________and I live in___________. I am__________. My______________. I now realize that_________. And it is because____________. When I was growing up my_______. I got_________. Why________. There are times when________. I have tried_________. No one________. I need________. If_________. Then________. They__________. It_________. *I am open to__________. I just feel________. I think_________.
To understand what comes next, you must become a part of what you hear when you read. But you do have to listen to what you hear. They are not the same. You must put forth effort to listen. Hearing you do not. You must let what you hear— “the message”— sink in until it becomes a vision in your mind’s eye. You do have to feel it to see it. And you must see it not only with your eyes but also with your mind to believe it. And so you know, you can never learn too much about how you think. The better you understand your “Self,” the clearer your insight and view of the world around you–your environment.
Much of what I say may not come through in the first reading. It will all be clear to you once you are not just hearing but listening for a better understanding of what you hear. It may take more than a first glance—change is not always understood when first approached. And this is change, and not just for the sake of change. What we think we know is not all there is. “It Is How You Think,” and how you think is how you will feel, and how you feel is how you will act. Everything you and I do cannot be done without thinking about it first. No matter the “I wasn’t thinking excuse,” we hear, and you may have said. You can do nothing without thinking first. If you are alive and not “brain dead,” you are thinking—even as you dream.
All that I say–and you say to me–consist of perception, thinking, feeling and action. It is about how we think, what we do, and why. There is a reason why our lives are the way they are. At times, no matter how we live. What we think we know is not all there is.
It keeps me from sinking, but it doesn’t allow me to swim.
A person can only tread water for so long. You have to swim or you will sink. You are taught, or learn from what you think about what you see. And what we see may not always be what we think it is.
When the seed is planted and you grow in loose and nutrient deficient soil, it can cause you to feel uncertain about who you are. All that you can do is search for something to hold on to. Only a drive to survive is what you own. And one day, you open your eyes. It is then that you realize you have become dependent on the resources of your spouse.”
To be dependent on a person, place or thing is just another way to say, I quit.
When you live your life this way, you have to hold on tight. When you let go of your grip and try to be yourself, your advantage will give way and so will your hold. You must be yourself first because that is who you are. When you are not being who you are, it will not be you they know. If you do not know this experience, think what it would be like. The hunter is now the game. Do not think your “Self” in to its grip. There are things in life that must be as we expect them to be. We depend on these things. As we do life itself. To depend is a way of life. The way it is meant to be.
To be dependent on a person, place or thing is just another way to say, I quit. It shows a lack of Self awareness. You should never think you cannot do a thing on your own. It is not how you should live. Never think you have no choice. In a relationship, on the job, or any other time or place you have to feel you are free to be you. You have the right to be who you are. Our role in life depends on it. I cannot be you, and you cannot be me. We cannot be us and us cannot be we. No one can be someone else no matter the capacity. You only do this when you find it hard, for whatever reason, to be yourself.
No one can know who you are. How can they if you do not know yourself? Though they will try, with your help, to tell you just that. If you are ever lost, you must find yourself. There is no other way to look at it. You can search, but you will not see a thing more important than being aware of the Self. If not, not a thing will work. You are the only one who can say who you are.

Our world has to be made ready for us before we arrive. We are born for others to take care of us. It is meant to be that way—that is—until we can take care of ourselves. We have to be made ready to do so. These are the things we get from those responsible for our care. If we do not, our lives can be a difficult road to travel. And no one will be eager to help if they think you should already know what you do not. Many will see this as the fault of the one who this has hurt. That is unless they have a reason to care. Not at all, though, if they think they have no choice in doing so.
Depend not on a source when you do not know what you give for what you get. This is when you are being helped and do not know why. That which you are not sure of, nothing about it can be for sure. There is not much you can be sure of when you are not sure of your own Self. SELF awareness is to know you—your SELF.
It is an ongoing challenge to lift yourself up when your mind and how you think are holding you down. Being dependent when you should not is not a good thing. It will not let you grow. Do not let your thoughts and how you think them hold you back.
You don’t know if you should draw a breath when you are not sure if you should breathe.
When you are dependent, you do not know whether your feelings are true, or you are just trying to survive. Do not be bound by your status. You don’t know if you should draw a breath when you are not sure if you should breathe: disordered thinking doing what it does. When you do not want to leave, but you cannot stay.

Hear your Self calling and listen to what you have to say. It is the only way you can be yourself. It is a perfect fit: you and your Self. Of course, we do have to depend on life for what we need. It is one of the rules of nature. It is how we survive.
To depend and being dependent on are not the same. One you must (depend) and the other (dependent) you should try with all your might not to be.

Self is Your Core
The Self is our core, the essence of each one of us. It is where we go to be ourselves. A place we would never leave on our own. Our power and strength come from there. If your mind and the ways of life have kept you away, it is a choice to go back. It is not easy to do. That is unless it is what you want. And you must want to above all else. To be self-aware is what you need to be to know who you are.
How we think, feel, and act comes after we are born. It is not born with us. It is not the Self. These are things that make up our personality. It is the way we show the world who we think we are. In other words, what we feel about ourselves. Though not always true. It is how we act, and may change as we change how we think. The Self will not change. It is the you that was created for you. Your Self is your own, given to each one of us.
This grouping is the most affected by the seeds of doubt. Doubt is the root cause of disordered thinking. Our thoughts, feelings, and how we act change, but we do not. Of course, that is if there is no conflict, which would be with the Self. One of the ways that the things we believe in are shown is through our character. It is how others view us. As well, it is a part of us that tells what we think about ourselves. It will vary at times. However, it will only be the real you when it matches your Self.

We are born with a map of who we are. It makes up the person that is you. The person we were meant to be. It is the core of the human being and does not change. As with all things, our physical side changes with time. Our genes, of course, determine how we will look. We have no say in this. It is part of our creation. We do have a say in the life we create. As we do with whom we create our offspring with. And this would be the other parent, the co-creator of this new life.
You cannot be who you are not and will tire out trying. Yet, many do try.
Some will say that a person has changed and does not act the same. They may have changed how they act, though they are not different. Not a thing has changed about who they are. They are still who they have always been. What has changed is how the person thinks, feels, and acts. The core of their being, which is the soul, has not changed. You cannot sell it, and you will not lose it. It is the real you. You cannot be who you are not and will tire out trying. Yet, many do try.

Come to Me
Even the feelings of love and hate struggle against the seduction of desire. You can “feel” love for one and desire another just as you can feel hate for one you desire. If you have thought it, you know it. If not yet, you will. A true sign is when the heart races and the pulse quickens with just the thought of the object of your desire. And when the body is triggered in the presence of “the one,” feelings swell and pulsate to the rhythm playing in your mind. And at that moment, no one knows but you.
The great taboo is no taboo at all
We did not make it the way that it is. It made us the way that we are—it is in us. The great taboo is no taboo at all. The Creator created us—when stimulated—to have strong feelings and to be desirous of each other. The hands of nature hold the switch. You can turn your back on desire. However, each time, it will turn you back around. It is not a sin. It would not be as strong if it were wrong. We cannot erase it. However, you must maintain control of your feelings and how you think about them.
There should never be a time when you do not. Control of feelings (self-awareness) and self-control are not the same. There are few to no times when self-control is preferable to self-awareness, which does not need to be controlled.

Of course, as with all things in life, there is a time and place if it is to be a time and place. You do not have to act on desire, but pretending will not change how you feel. There is no human power or words that can change this. So let no one tell you that you should not feel what you do, for they also desire. It matters not the role or title that they hold. Do not confuse temptation with desire: They are not the same.

We will be tempted to do things we know are wrong by moral standards but feel right by our own. Do you yield to temptation or deny yourself the pleasure of being who you are. The Creator put pain and pleasure of life here for us to decide. Some believe there should be no pleasure or there should be some type of on-and-off switch. No such control was included when we were created, for pain and pleasure are part of who we are. And pleasure is what we seek because it feels better than pain. That is why it is so difficult, and not natural, not to yield to certain temptations.
The Creator chose desire to ensure that his creation’s life would continue to be. It could not happen with pain. Pain’s purpose is to tell us that not all is well. We are animals, yes, you heard what I said, and we are human. When we deny ourselves the pleasures of life, all that is left is pain. Now I ask you, will you yield to temptation?
